Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District Chemical Addition Facilities

ADVERTISEMENT AND INVITATION TO PREQUALIFY GENERAL CONTRACTORS

Proposals for prequalification of general contractors for the Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District Chemical Addition Facilities, will be received at the office of Taylorsville-Bennion Improvement District, 1800 West 4700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84118 (the “Owner”) until 4:00 p.m. local time on the 20th day of January, 2003. Any proposal received after this specified time and date will not be considered.

The work generally includes: a new chemical injection feed building; fluoride dosing equipment & piping, chlorine processing, dosing equipment & piping; HVAC; and site improvements.

Those interested in preparing a prequalification proposal may obtain a prequalification solicitation packet from the office of the Owner, or download from the web at http://www.crsengineers.com/Bids/TBID_Wells.shtml. Draft construction plans and specifications may be examined at the Owner’s office or local plan centers. Final construction documents will be available to prequalified contractors January 23, 2003.

All bidders for the project must be prequalified with the Owner. Bids will not be received from bidders that do not hold a prequalification letter from the Owner. It is anticipated that the list of prequalified contractors will be available January 23, 2003, and that bids will be due February 12, 2003. The Project must be complete by September 1, 2003.
