During the past year our development team has rewritten the Union Pacific Pavement Assessment System (PAS), the third phase of a three-phase update (verson 4.0). PAS assists Union Pacific’s management of more than $1 billion dollar pavement assets for more than 50 Automotive and Intermodal rail yard facilities.
The PAS update incorporates additional engineering intelligence and automation into the product. The tool has the powerful Esri® ArcGIS Server delivering geolocated photos from site visits and pavement audits. In addition, we have created a wizard for complex 5-year asset planning that performs prioritization and cost constrained analysis based on user inputs.
