Mountain Home and the landowner understood the need for economic development within their City and the solution rail could provide. They needed assistance planning and marketing their site to national resources as well as getting support from UPRR.
Since 2018, CRS has continuously assisted the City of Mountain Home and the landowner where the industrial park will be developed with railroad consulting and economic development services.
These services have included:
• Helping the City create marketing advertisements in site selector magazines,
• Designing a website to advertise of this project
• Creating base maps of existing utility locations
and sizes
• Plotting landownership limits
• Reviewing annexation documents,
• Performing a track condition assessment and rehabilitation
plan for City’s existing track
• Master planning a flexible phased development
• Obtaining UP approval of development concept plans for the
industrial park
• Getting the development approved by UP as the only focus
site in the state of Idaho.
CRS looks forward to proceeding to the next phases of the project, such as funding applications and infrastructure design.
