Much of the existing Monticello City Water Collection System was installed between 1920 and 1940 but had degraded to the point that the needs of the people were no longer being met. CRS finalized the existing design of a replacement water system that will supply the City with water in a manner that causes the least possible impact to wetlands, wildlife and other environmentally sensitive areas. Design of plans & specifications, coordination with funding agencies, incorporating requirements of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) into the plans, obtaining permits & approvals from regulatory agencies, organizing a construction schedule to meet city needs, permit requirements, project construction over sight and ongoing inspection were critical to the success of the project.
