Project included safety improvements at two rail crossings, mainline, and spur. Safety improvements consisted of improving sight-line, grades, and adding signals, lights, and gates. Our design adjusted profile and horizontal alignment of 1500 East and 6600 South to reduce grades from 15 to 5 percent. Additional work included design of guardrail and short retaining wall along 6600 South, survey, establishment of a base map, and identification of ROW needs. CRS also coordinated with the Uintah local government and UPRR throughout design and minor local utilities (irrigation and City water). After working with Rocky Mountain Power, an overhead powerline was converted underground under the crossing.
