Utah State University’s newest parking terrace was designed with many advanced components. Since stormwater was a substantial concern, a cutting-edge underground detention system was designed to store runoff under the terrace temporarily. The build also included an expanded steam tunnel and required subsurface utility exploration with careful planning to handle backfill in a cramped area. Focusing on pedestrian safety, CRS engineered a first of its kind roundabout without an island to increase driver visibility.
